Crypto investors bullish on ETH ahead of Shapella upgrade

Survey findings revealed that 83% of crypto Investors believe that ETH staking will surge rapidly in the next 3 months.

Ethereum is the 2nd ranked crypto asset in the crypto sector by market cap, just after Bitcoin. In Sep 2022, the Ethereum blockchain operation shifted from Proof-of-work (PoW) model to Proof-of-stake (PoS) with the help of the TheMerge upgrade.

At present time, Ethereum community engineers are working on the Shapella upgrade and they are in the final phase. Shapella upgrade will take place somewhere in between 12 or 13 April, i.e at epoch 194,048.

This upgrade will bring several features to unlock more development work abilities for devs but the most important result just after this upgrade will be the ability for the Ethereum stakers to unstake their ETH.

Recently OKX crypto exchange, the 8th ranked crypto exchange by market cap, shared a survey result which was conducted by this exchange recently to know the intuition of Ethereum (ETH) traders ahead of the Shapella upgrade.

The survey noted that 83% of respondents said that they believed that ETH staking will surge rapidly in the next three months.

63% of the respondents said that they believe ETH will hit $5,000 by the end of this year. On the other hand, 59% of respondents expect that ETH price will keep surging ahead of this upgrade and will trade near $2,000 (before & after this upgrade).

Data findings from this survey noted that 33% of respondents expect it to be over its current six-month high of $2,000 but below its 12-month high of $3,000. Meanwhile, 34% predict ETH to be below $2,000, while 33% believe it will be at least $3,100.

It is worth noting that many respondents opposed such a high increment prediction in ETH trade as more than 17.9 million ETH are locked in staking and after the completion of this upgrade huge numbers of people will sell ETH & further that will result in a big downfall of ETH trade price.
